Great day speaking to Islington residents today. Understandably people are completely fed up with the establishment parties and a lot of people are saying they might not vote. However, many people have heard about our local campaigning and have seen Jenny on TV- she is coming across as who she is; a strong, genuine, no nonsense candidate- and are very interested in what we have to say.
And when we explain about the voting system- how you can vote Jenny1 and then still have a vote for one of the two most likely winners, and how the Orange ballot paper is a top up so smaller parties get their share of seats- they are happy that for once they can vote with their heart and not have to get into tactical voting for the lesser of two evils.
If you're still not sure that the Greens have the policies for a more equal, affordable and healthy London you might be interested to know that just today 4children and Londoners on Bikes said our policies were best.
