20mph pledge in Hackney- Green success

In reply to a question posed to Hackney Council by the Green Party's Anna Hughes, Labour

have finally stated that it is their intention to introduce 20mph on all residential roads in Hackney.

Another great example of positive Green ideas and pressure bringing benefits to residents.

Safer streets, better for pedestrian and cyclists, with less air pollution and less congestion/ smoother traffic flow- a great result. Now we need to make sure Labout honours this pledge and extends it to the borough main roads too.
