Clissold Park Deer

Another campaign I've become involved in. A very sad situation in Hackney. While I recognise that many Hackney residents are very attached to the deer in Clissold Park the council has accepted that it is failing in its duty of care to the animals of the 'zoo'. There has been significant unnecessary suffering caused and the council simply cannot give the guarantees of safety and security for the animals. There is no funding for CCTV and regular patrols and experience suggests that if the animals remain they will sadly be in danger. It is time to move the animals to a more suitable environment.

Great feedback on our new science policy

And if you were at Conference you might have some idea of the hours of work that went into getting us to this point, much of it done by myself with great input from the policy list and other Policy Committee colleagues.
